Manager: Exchange Control Advisory and Reporting

About the role

Capitec Bank is seeking a Manager to lead the Exchange Control Advisory and Reporting team. The role oversees treasury, international banking and payment products within the Exchange Control environment, advises clients on regulatory matters, and manages Balance of Payments reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of specialists handling treasury, international banking and payment systems.
• Provide expert advice to internal and external clients on Exchange Control regulations.
• Oversee Balance of Payments (BOP) reporting in line with SARB requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison with the South African Reserve Bank on behalf of the bank.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks and internal policies.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in foreign exchange, Exchange Control, Nostro Management, derivatives, ISDA, payments and SWIFT.
• Minimum 2 years of budget management experience and 3 years of leadership experience.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and experience representing a business before a regulatory body.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
• Grade 12 National Certificate or equivalent vocational qualification.
