Management Accounting Manager

About the role

The Management Accounting Manager will lead a newly‑established Management Accounts team within the Cape Town Finance Centre of Excellence. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will ensure accurate, timely monthly management accounts and provide insightful financial analysis to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review and delivery of monthly management accounts in line with group reporting deadlines.
• Oversee P&L, balance sheet and key financial metric accuracy, including monthly reconciliations.
• Enhance variance analysis and provide meaningful commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of three Management Accountants, allocating workload and ensuring deadline compliance.
• Present financial results, partner on budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis, and collaborate with global finance teams.
• Lead the month‑end close process and maintain strong financial controls and compliance with group policies.

Required profile

• Degree in finance or a related field.
• Experience with international transactions.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
