Management Accountant

About the role

Our client, a leading player in the engineering and renewable energy sector, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team in the Northern suburbs of Cape Town. You will support project costing, inventory valuation and month‑end reporting while ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with project costing and monitor actual performance against budgets.
• Perform stock costing and support inventory valuation processes.
• Reconcile cost accounts and contribute to month‑end reporting activities.
• Review tax calculations and submissions for compliance.
• Manage month‑end processes, including reviewing the general ledger for accuracy.
• Compile annual financial statements and prepare board and monthly reporting packs.
• Analyse project costs against budgets at both project and G/L level.

Required profile

• Newly qualified CA(SA) – highly preferred.
• Completed and passed IAC exam.
• Completed articles.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
