Management Accountant

About the role

A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking a high‑calibre Management Accountant to join its finance team in Johannesburg. The role is ideal for a technically strong, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys analysing data, improving processes and partnering with the business to drive performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform detailed cost accounting and profitability analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Develop financial models and business insights to support strategic decisions.
• Identify, create and implement process improvements to streamline reporting.
• Partner with operational teams during site visits to provide commercial and financial support.
• Ensure financial accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Relevant BCom degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• CIMA qualification or active study towards CIMA (advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Management Accounting and Cost Accounting.
• Experience in manufacturing, petrochemical, mining, petroleum or a similar industrial environment.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for ad‑hoc site visits.
