Management Accountant / Financial Controller

About the role

This is a part‑time Management Accountant / Financial Controller position within a fast‑growing, founder‑led e‑commerce business in the health and wellness sector. You will own the day‑to‑day finance function, work closely with the Founder and senior leadership, and become a trusted commercial partner driving financial insight and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a rolling 13‑week cash‑flow forecast, monitor cash movements and working capital, and recommend actions to improve cash conversion.
• Produce accurate monthly management accounts, reconcile balance‑sheet items, and deliver concise weekly financial reports covering cash position, revenue, margins and key KPIs.
• Prepare and update annual budgets and rolling forecasts, analyse variances, and conduct scenario planning for strategic decisions.
• Perform ROI analysis and build business cases for new products, equipment, marketing spend and other commercial opportunities.
• Analyse financial performance across multiple e‑commerce sales channels, track product costing, gross margins and identify under‑performing items.
• Collaborate with external accountants to streamline month‑end and year‑end reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or Financial Controller, preferably in an e‑commerce or fast‑growth environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of the finance function and partner effectively with senior leadership.
