Management Accountant (CA(SA)) – Johannesburg

About the role

Our client, a global organisation based in Johannesburg North, is seeking a high‑calibre Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to join the finance team as a Management Accountant. The role focuses on financial planning, analysis, reporting and business partnering, delivering insights that support senior leadership decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and profit & loss reports.
• Perform detailed variance analysis across multiple business units and translate findings into commercial insights.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles and continuously refine cash‑flow forecasting models.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal governance frameworks, and manage external audit processes.
• Oversee fixed‑asset registers, support tax compliance and reporting obligations.
• Act as a finance business partner to operational teams, supporting pricing analysis, profitability assessments and cost‑optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA) with 3–5 years post‑qualification experience in commercial finance, FP&A or management accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to move from a pure audit background into a commercial environment.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking and high attention to detail with a governance mindset.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling.
