Maintenance Manager / Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Manager or Supervisor will oversee the upkeep, repair, and safety of all company office buildings, facilities and owned properties in Johannesburg. This full‑time position ensures that premises remain functional, presentable and compliant with health and safety regulations while coordinating internal staff and external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day facilities and property operations, including building maintenance and infrastructure.
• Develop and control the maintenance budget, monitor costs and ensure cost‑effective solutions.
• Lead preventive maintenance planning and oversee corrective repairs.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, service providers and in‑house maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
• Plan and execute maintenance projects, tracking timelines and deliverables.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Building Management, Property Management, Engineering or a related field (advantageous).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facilities or building maintenance, preferably in office or commercial environments.
• Proven experience managing contractors and service providers.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance systems and preventive maintenance strategies.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
