Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a highly capable, hands‑on Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair and upkeep of all office buildings, warehouses and other company‑owned properties. Reporting to the Financial Director and other senior leaders, you will ensure that premises are safe, functional and presented to a high standard while managing budgets, contractors and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance of offices, boardrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, parking areas, gardens and common spaces.
• Conduct routine inspections, identify needs and develop preventive‑maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, roofing, painting, flooring, carpentry and general building services.
• Arrange emergency repairs and ensure uninterrupted utility services (electricity, water, internet, backup power).
• Source, appoint and manage external contractors and service providers, obtain quotations and negotiate pricing.
• Monitor contractor performance, enforce health‑and‑safety policies and ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Maintain an asset register for furniture, fixtures and equipment, track condition and plan refurbishments.
• Supervise security systems, access control, CCTV, alarms and perimeter maintenance.
• Manage cleaning, waste removal, pest control, landscaping and hygiene services.
• Prepare monthly maintenance reports, track work orders and keep service records up to date.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Building Management, Property Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing facilities or property maintenance operations.
• Strong knowledge of health‑and‑safety legislation and compliance procedures.
