Maintenance Controller

About the role

The Maintenance Controller will lead the maintenance team at Coca-Cola Beverages Africa’s Midrand facility, ensuring reliable plant operations and continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety and performance.
• Execute preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Plan schedules, allocate resources and balance workloads to meet production targets.
• Manage jobs in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and provide timely feedback.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ, GMP and engineering standards.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach technicians, develop skills and manage performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supervising and leading a maintenance team.
• Strong understanding of preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance processes.
• Ability to plan resources, schedule work and balance workloads effectively.
• Experience with CMMS job management and feedback loops.
• Commitment to SHEQ, GMP and engineering standards.
• Analytical mindset for root‑cause analysis and improvement support.
• Coaching and performance‑management capabilities.
