Logistics Supervisor – Warehouse & Dispatch Operations

About the role

Macsteel Roofing Gauteng is seeking a driven Logistics Supervisor to lead warehouse and dispatch operations. You will ensure efficient workflows, accurate inventory control, and high levels of customer satisfaction across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all inventory control processes, ensuring data accuracy in SAP.
• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, loading and dispatch to meet shipment schedules.
• Allocate workforce flexibly to prevent bottlenecks and optimise productivity.
• Coordinate crane, side‑loader and equipment maintenance with the relevant department.
• Lead a team of warehouse staff, handling attendance, overtime and workforce planning.
• Maintain compliance with OHS Act, company policies and SHEQ requirements.
• Prepare month‑end warehouse reports and support safety audits.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 with supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of material grades for valves, pipe, fittings, flanges and structural steel.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work overtime, flexible shifts and multi‑task as needed.
• Valid driver’s licence, crane and forklift licences.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP.
• Crane operation (valid licence).
• Forklift operation (valid licence).
• Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Use of measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of OHS Act compliance.
