Legal Operations Assistant – Family Law

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Legal Operations Assistant to support a busy family law practice. You will be the main point of contact for prospective and existing clients, ensuring smooth communication and efficient case progression from intake through resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide status updates to clients and handle incoming calls via Google Voice.
• Electronically file uncontested pleadings using Odyssey File & Serve.
• Draft legal pleadings and documents with approved templates.
• Maintain lead tracking spreadsheets and update records in Lawcus CRM.
• Follow up with post‑consultation leads, send retainer agreements, and obtain client signatures through Dropbox Sign.
• Organize and update client files, pleadings, and court notices.
• Enter and verify client, opposing party, and counsel information accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as a legal assistant or in a legal support role.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• High level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
