Legal Counsellor

About the role

The Legal Counsellor will provide members with accurate legal advice and paralegal solutions, ensuring all assistance aligns with the Scorpion Legal Protection Membership Agreement. This position operates within the Property Specialist Department and reports directly to the Branch Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legal advice to members on common issues within the scope defined by the company.
• Prepare and manage paralegal solutions and documentation for client cases.
• Ensure all advice complies with the Scorpion Legal Protection Membership Agreement.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and legal outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Branch Manager to identify recurring legal concerns and propose process improvements.

Required profile

• Qualified legal professional with a solid understanding of South African law.
• Experience providing legal advice or paralegal services to clients.
• Strong knowledge of membership‑based legal service agreements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to departmental guidelines.
