Legal Counsel – Remote Contract Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to work remotely on a contract basis, focusing on developing and refining contract negotiation playbooks and commercial agreements. The role supports AI‑training projects by providing high‑quality legal documentation and feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review, and refine contract negotiation playbooks tailored to diverse scenarios and company needs.
• Draft, analyze, and annotate commercial agreements ensuring clarity, precision, and compliance.
• Provide expert commentary on best practices for contract management and negotiation strategies.
• Curate and supply non‑confidential transaction materials for project documentation objectives.
• Evaluate and optimize existing contract templates to improve efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with the micro1 team to align materials with project guidelines and AI‑training requirements.
• Deliver high‑quality written and verbal feedback to enhance system understanding and output.

Required profile

• Current or prior experience as General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel with a focus on contract negotiation playbooks.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and management within corporate environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of industry‑standard practices for contract review and risk assessment.
• Experience developing or using contract negotiation playbooks for companies.
• Familiarity with document‑driven project assignments, including sourcing and submitting eligible materials.
• Ability to work independently and provide concise, actionable insights for AI training purposes.
