Legal Counsel

About the role
The Legal Counsel will join the founding leadership team of a new infrastructure‑focused financial institution, helping to build its legal, governance, regulatory and compliance framework from the ground up.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse legal and regulatory frameworks and advise on implications for transactions and operations.
- Provide legal input into governance structures, shareholder arrangements, partnership structures and institutional documentation.
- Support the full transaction lifecycle, ensuring proper structuring, risk identification and management.
- Conduct legal due diligence on counterparties and transactions, assessing compliance with applicable regulations.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
Required profile
- Qualified lawyer with experience in regulated financial services or infrastructure finance.
- Commercially minded with ability to work in a start‑up environment.
- Experience in governance, regulatory engagement and risk management.
