Legal Advisor (Remote, Volunteer)

About the role

Global Union of Changemakers is seeking a remote, volunteer Legal Advisor to support its mission. You will provide expert legal guidance, ensure compliance with labor and employment regulations, and help mitigate legal risks across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Offer strategic legal advice to internal teams and external partners.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents to ensure compliance.
• Identify and resolve legal issues, providing practical solutions.
• Monitor labor and employment law developments relevant to the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align legal strategies with organizational goals.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree with relevant professional experience.
• Strong expertise in law and ability to stay current with legal standards.
• Experience advising nonprofit or advocacy organizations is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and remotely.
