Legal Administrative Assistant to Head of Legal

About the role

You will work directly alongside the Head of Legal at one of South Africa's leading specialist divorce and family law firms. The position offers a front‑row seat to high‑stakes family law matters, from initial consultation through to final resolution, while ensuring the legal operation runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with clients in a calm, professional and reassuring manner.
• Draft, prepare and send legal correspondence.
• Assist with CourtOnline filing and ensure filing accuracy.
• Manage the Head of Legal’s diary, appointments, meetings and deadlines.
• Arrange boardrooms and consultation spaces.
• Coordinate documents, court filings, file notes and update the CRM.
• Follow up on outstanding documents and administrative tasks.
• Maintain proper document control, saving and recording notices and filed documents correctly.
