About the role

The Pick n Pay Learnership Programme 2025 is a 12‑month fixed‑term learnership offered at two key distribution centres – Eastport DC in Ekurhuleni (Johannesburg) and Phillip Distribution Centre in the Western Cape. It is designed for candidates with a National Diploma in Information Technology or Logistics/Supply Chain who wish to develop professional and leadership skills in the retail sector. Learners will receive mentorship, hands‑on experience and the opportunity to secure a permanent position after successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold Pick n Pay’s values and demonstrate professionalism in all tasks and interactions.
• Gain exposure to technical functions in logistics and IT processes, enhancing understanding of supply‑chain operations.
• Experience different departments and learn how each contributes to the success of the distribution centre and overall supply chain.
• Develop both technical and leadership competencies to prepare for future leadership roles within Pick n Pay.

Required profile

• Completed National Diploma in Information Technology or Logistics/Supply Chain.
• Project Management experience or strong performance in related modules (advantage).
• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration.
• Computer literacy and ability to work with digital tools.
• Strong drive for success and personal development.
