Lead Youth STEM Instructor

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Youth STEM Instructor to deliver Code Ninjas’ game‑based coding curriculum to children aged 5‑14. You will create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where students explore programming concepts, robotics, and digital creation.

Key responsibilities

• Teach computer programming concepts using the Code Ninjas curriculum.
• Guide students through coding projects, challenges, and debugging.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom that encourages creativity and problem‑solving.
• Monitor student progress and communicate feedback to parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors to refine curriculum materials.
• Stay current on technology and education trends.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional‑development activities.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Passion for coding and ability to quickly learn basic concepts.
• Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or mentorship role.
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States and reliable transportation to the Code Ninjas location.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred but not required.
