Lead Software Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Developer to anchor a cross‑functional squad building full‑stack web and API solutions in a regulated, high‑availability environment. You will stay hands‑on, writing code, reviewing pull requests and guiding architectural decisions that will serve the business for years.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship end‑to‑end features across UI, API and database layers.
• Own technical solution design, from data modelling to API contracts and UI patterns.
• Set and enforce coding standards, testing practices and definition of done.
• Lead architectural decisions to keep the reference architecture scalable, secure and maintainable.
• Conduct code reviews and pairing sessions that raise the team’s quality bar.
• Mentor senior, intermediate and junior engineers through 1:1s and day‑to‑day support.
• Collaborate with QA, Product and DevOps to ensure secure, tested and on‑time delivery.
• Champion safe use of AI tooling and integrate AI/LLM capabilities where appropriate.

Required profile

• 10+ years of full‑stack web application development.
• At least 3 years of technical leadership experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (optional certifications are a plus).
• Experience in financial technology, banking or other regulated high‑availability environments is a strong plus.

Required skills

• .NET / C# or Node.js or Java for back‑end development.
• Angular, React, Next.js, Vue or Svelte for front‑end development.
• TypeScript and modern JavaScript, including state management and component‑driven architecture.
• Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or Cursor.
