Lead Cloud/Platform Engineer

About the role

As the Lead Cloud/Platform Engineer, you will be the cornerstone of our infrastructure strategy, responsible for driving the technical vision, design, and deployment across our high‑performance platforms. The role focuses heavily on Amazon Web Services (AWS) while also managing on‑premise and third‑party integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of an infrastructure strategy aligned with the AWS Well‑Architected Framework.
• Design and deliver highly available, resilient, and scalable systems on AWS and hybrid platforms.
• Consult on cloud service selection, cost optimisation, and standards across AWS and Google Cloud.
• Establish and enforce cloud security standards, managing identified vulnerabilities and risks.
• Engineer, manage, and support IaC‑based cloud infrastructure stacks for application teams.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operational maintenance, upgrades, backups, and disaster‑recovery for platform components.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years of hands‑on software/platform/cloud engineering experience, with senior or lead responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Current AWS Professional‑level certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).

Required skills

• Deep expertise with AWS core services (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, EKS/ECS).
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance.
• Scripting/automation with Python, Bash and Golang.
• Experience with hybrid environments including on‑premise platforms such as Nutanix.
