About the role
The Laboratory Attendant supports daily laboratory operations by preparing sampling equipment, assisting with sample collection, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position ensures that laboratory staff have the necessary tools and materials to perform analyses efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare bottles and sampling equipment to guarantee availability of correct tools.
- Assist with the collection of laboratory samples.
- Clean and prepare laboratory apparatus and work areas.
- Support routine technical work and ad‑hoc sample analysis.
- Guide and assist newly appointed laboratory assistants.
Required profile
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent with Mathematics or Natural Science.
- At least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience (2 years preferred).
- Computer literacy.
- Good Laboratory Practice attendance certificate (preferred).
