Key Accounts Manager

About the role

The Key Accounts Manager will be based at the Life Healthcare Group Head Office in Dunkeld, Johannesburg. Reporting to the Head of Credit Operations, the role is responsible for collections and credit control of Key Accounts clients, working within the Credit Risk Management team to meet strict deadlines and targets.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate sound credit risk management principles across all portfolios and performance metrics.
• Maintain and execute the strategic plan for credit collections, escalating risk accounts to the National Business Partner.
• Manage end-to-end collections for designated Key Accounts across all business streams.
• Enforce credit risk policies and monitor performance using tools such as Debtpack and dashboards.
• Achieve cash targets, manage debtor days, and report deviations to the Head of Credit Operations.
• Ensure timely handling of rejections, remittance reconciliation, and adherence to service level agreements.
• Review bad-debt write-off trends and support governance and compliance with corporate policies.
• Drive digitisation of credit risk processes and assist with integration of the ECL model into month-end provisioning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit risk management, collections or related finance functions.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and cash-target objectives.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including funders, government bodies and patients.
• Commitment to corporate governance and risk-management standards.

Required skills

• Debtpack (or similar credit monitoring tool).
• Dashboard reporting and performance monitoring.
• ECL (Expected Credit Loss) modelling.
