About the role

The Key Account Manager for the Retail and Delivered Trade sector is responsible for managing an assigned account or group of accounts. The primary focus is to create value for customers through technical service, identify new product opportunities, and maintain revenue, price capture, and gross profit.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned accounts or groups of accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and value creation.
• Provide technical service to customers and identify new product opportunities within existing accounts.
• Maintain revenue, capture pricing, and improve gross profit margins.
• Support new business acquisition when appropriate, without it being the primary focus.
• Research, process, and analyze data to develop actionable recommendations.
• Utilize computer systems to access, maintain, and manipulate data effectively.
• Provide leadership or direction to lower‑level employees as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in key account management within retail or delivered‑trade environments.
• Strong knowledge of technical service delivery and product positioning.
• Ability to work independently on non‑routine, moderately complex assignments.
• Excellent analytical skills for data research and recommendation development.
• Capability to influence pricing and profitability outcomes.
• Experience guiding or leading junior staff is a plus.
