Key Account Manager – Perishables & Pharmaceuticals

About the role

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of strategic clients in the perishables and pharmaceutical sectors. You will drive account growth, ensure high‑quality service delivery and contribute to the company’s profitability while upholding core values such as teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop close relationships with assigned client portfolio across all SDB divisions.
• Conduct regular on‑site visits to Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum clients as per schedule.
• Identify and execute new business opportunities and on‑selling strategies to expand service offerings.
• Coordinate internal and client meetings, record minutes and log client visits in the CRM system.
• Prepare presentations, proposals and contracts, and negotiate annual rate adjustments.
• Analyse client shipment data to spot trends, variances and efficiency improvements for weekly/monthly reviews.
• Support operations, finance and other internal teams to ensure smooth business processes.
• Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and tele‑marketing activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in key account management, preferably within the perishables or pharmaceutical industries.
• Strong relationship‑building and client‑facing skills.
• Ability to analyse data, identify trends and propose actionable improvements.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, diligent and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
