Key Account Manager – Kenya & Johannesburg

About the role

Temenos is seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager to lead its banking technology business across Kenya and Johannesburg. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between Temenos and major financial institutions, helping them realise the value of Temenos’ digital‑first, cloud‑based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Present and sell Temenos’ digital banking suite using value‑based selling, ROI analysis and industry benchmarks.
• Understand each client’s strategy, challenges and digital transformation goals and map Temenos solutions to them.
• Develop and execute account plans that balance short‑term targets with long‑term revenue opportunities.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, forecast quarterly revenue and track progress against targets.
• Collaborate with technical, partner and internal sales teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end sales cycles.
• Represent Temenos at industry events and act as a thought leader on digital banking trends.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of the financial services sector, including current trends and challenges.
• Proven track record selling complex, high‑value SaaS/Cloud solutions to banks.
• Consultative sales approach with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Experience working with partners in English‑speaking Africa and an established partner network in the region.
