Key Account Manager

About the role

The Key Account Manager will drive revenue growth by managing and expanding strategic key accounts in the construction, mining and infrastructure sectors. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the role focuses on delivering tailored equipment and service solutions while building long‑term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage a portfolio of high‑value key accounts.
• Develop and execute multi‑year account strategies aligned with client growth plans.
• Build deep understanding of client operations, capital plans and project pipelines.
• Act as a trusted advisor and influence strategic purchasing decisions.
• Lead high‑level negotiations, commercial engagements and after‑sales revenue through parts, maintenance and service agreements.
• Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities across the installed base.
• Acquire new high‑value key accounts and expand presence in mining, infrastructure and large‑contractor sectors.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) and a National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business management or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in capital equipment, earthmoving or mining sales.
• 2–3 years managing key or strategic accounts with a proven track record of large, complex deals.
• Strong understanding of earthmoving equipment and equipment financing structures.
