Key Account Manager – Ink Industry

About the role

Flint Group South Africa is seeking a proactive Key Account Manager to drive sales and profit objectives for its packaging inks business. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will shape and execute growth strategies while building strong stakeholder relationships across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the sales strategy in line with senior management goals.
• Analyse customer and product sales data using Excel, Qlikview and other reporting tools.
• Maintain regular customer visits and strengthen relationships.
• Support resolution of bad debt and manage low‑margin accounts with corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with the technical team to reduce formulation costs.
• Implement pricing strategies and sales programs to meet volume, mix and GP targets.
• Generate monthly S&OP and commercial forecasts.
• Build a healthy pipeline of new opportunities and close deals within set timelines.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with a degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing or a related field (advantageous).
• 5–7 years of sales experience, preferably in the ink, printing or manufacturing sector.
• Export experience is a plus.
• Strong business acumen and results‑driven attitude.
