Key Account Manager – Histology & Sequencing

About the role

Roche Diagnostics is looking for a Key Account Manager specializing in Histology and Sequencing to drive growth in the Western Cape and beyond. The role focuses on building and expanding relationships with key executive decision‑makers in hospitals, laboratories and research institutions, ensuring Roche’s market share continues to increase.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account and portfolio strategies for histology and sequencing products.
• Identify, qualify and secure new sales opportunities, presenting proposals to customers.
• Build and maintain stakeholder maps, engaging executive decision‑makers and tracking organisational structures.
• Analyse sales data, monitor trends and variances, and provide actionable insights on a monthly basis.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, medical affairs and supply chain to align on customer needs.
• Represent Roche at industry events and customer meetings, gathering market intelligence.
• Implement targeted campaigns and expand the footprint within existing accounts.
• Travel across the Western Cape and to other provinces as required.

Required profile

• Commercial experience in the diagnostic or medical industry.
• Proven ability to engage senior executives and influence purchasing decisions.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting sales data.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to travel within South Africa.
