Key Account Manager – Automotive Refinish Coatings

About the role

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a dynamic, customer‑oriented Key Account Manager to grow its Automotive Refinish Coatings business in South Africa. The role is based in Johannesburg and requires deep market knowledge, a goal‑driven attitude, and strong commercial acumen.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to existing customers, provide technical service, consultancy and handle daily business.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, create and execute weekly selling plans.
• Conduct competitive product testing, analyse competitor strengths and position Sherwin‑Williams advantages.
• Manage forecasting, inventory requirements and coordinate with supply‑chain to ensure order fulfilment.
• Handle customer complaints, resolve product supply issues and represent the company positively.

Required profile

• Tertiary education in a related field is preferred.
• Sales experience in the Automotive Refinish Coatings market with strong commercial knowledge.
• Qualified spray painter or similar application experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel nationally up to 75% of the time.
