Junior Team Leader – Deceased Estate Conveyancer & Notary Public

About the role

Our client, a specialist in deceased estate transfers, is looking for a Junior Conveyancer with team‑leader experience to manage the transfer of immovable property from deceased estates to third parties. The role combines full legal conveyancing responsibilities with leadership of a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end conveyancing process, including preparation of documents, collection of clearances and duty receipts, and registration at the Deeds Office.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the conveyancing team, ensuring timely resolution of client queries.
• Maintain and develop relationships with clients, estate practitioners and fiduciary organisations.
• Handle financial aspects of transactions, ensuring prompt payment to sellers after registration.
• Produce regular reports, forecasts and maintain confidential system access in line with company policies.

Required profile

• Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer with at least 3 years post‑admission experience.
• Matric qualification; admission as a Notary is advantageous.
• Experience in estate administration and dealing with fiduciary or insurance corporates.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage client experience.
