Junior Software Developer – Fully Remote

About the role

We’re looking for a Junior Software Developer to join a growing technology team and play a key role in supporting, maintaining and enhancing both existing and new software solutions. This fully remote permanent position offers the chance to work on live production systems and gain full‑stack exposure across .NET, Angular, SQL, APIs and Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Support, maintain and enhance existing software solutions.
• Develop and implement changes to existing and new applications.
• Build and adjust automations using workflow and automation platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, defects and day‑to‑day support issues.
• Work closely with senior developers to understand technical solutions and business requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for changes and solutions.
• Contribute to team knowledge‑sharing and continuous improvement.
• Work across frontend, backend, database and API integrations.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional software or web development experience.
• Relevant IT / Software Development degree or diploma.
• A genuine desire to learn and grow technically.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned work.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with developers, QA, business analysts and product teams.
• Good communication skills and a quality‑focused approach.
• Applicants must be based in South Africa and have the legal right to work in South Africa.
