Junior Software Developer (AI Development Pathway)

About the role

Our client in Sandton is looking for two enthusiastic Junior Software Developers to join an AI Development Pathway. The position offers hands‑on experience in software engineering, artificial intelligence and automation, with the goal of progressing to an AI Software Engineer role.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain software solutions using .NET and C#.
• Collaborate with teams on Azure DevOps, Git and Monday.com to manage code and project tasks.
• Support AI‑related projects by integrating Azure AI Services, OpenAI and vector databases.
• Write and consume REST APIs and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions and continuous learning activities.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma (or final‑year status) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of commercial software development experience or strong academic projects.
• Curiosity, analytical thinking and a passion for emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices is advantageous.
