Junior Project Manager

About the role

The Junior Project Manager will support the planning, execution and delivery of construction, equipment relocation and installation projects for clients in the retail and logistics sectors. Reporting to the Project Site Manager, you will coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project planning, execution and reporting, including asset management.
• Present daily and weekly progress updates to the Project Site Manager.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and administration.
• Track milestones, adjust priorities and ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with stakeholders and third‑party vendors.
• Conduct project reviews, retrospectives and provide executive‑level reports.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies and drive continuous process improvement.
• Support tender submissions and identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee quality control, snagging and prepare full handover packages for customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BCom, BSc, BTech) in Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Logistics or a related field (NQF Level 7+).
• 1‑3 years of experience in industrial engineering, project management or logistics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Afrikaans preferred).
• Driver’s licence with reliable transport, South African citizenship, valid passport and clear credit/criminal record.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
• Ability to work on‑site in Midrand and remotely when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Advanced computer literacy.
