About the role
The Hospital Porter Junior – Admissions will support patient flow at Life Rosepark Hospital, ensuring timely transfers and delivery of clinical documents. Reporting to the Porter Supervisor, you will work across wards, the X‑Ray department and doctors' suites.
Key responsibilities
- Transfer patients between wards and the X‑Ray department according to the schedule.
- Collect and return ward patients scheduled for procedures.
- Maintain and monitor the whiteboard schedule throughout the day.
- Deliver reports, film envelopes and images to the appropriate wards or doctors' suites promptly.
- Keep all work areas, passages, wheelchairs and gurneys neat and tidy to ensure health and safety.
Required profile
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience dealing with customers or patients.
- Strong planning and organizing abilities.
- Ethical behaviour and a customer‑responsive attitude.
