Junior POD Clerk

About the role

Our Johannesburg branch in Kempton Park is seeking an experienced Junior POD Clerk to manage proof‑of‑delivery documentation and ensure accurate record‑keeping. The role involves handling PODs from collection through scanning and system updates.

Key responsibilities

• Collect PODs from the warehouse and ensure they match the trip sheet provided by sub‑courier or RSU staff.
• Verify that all PODs are accounted for; follow up on any missing items with the relevant parties.
• Debrief, split, sort and scan PODs, maintaining accurate records.
• Match supporting documents to the RSU waybill, contacting drivers, sub‑couriers or client liaison when shortages occur.
• Separate paperwork, clean waybills and secure multi‑page documents with a paperclip.
• Scan single‑page and multi‑page documents, confirming correct waybill numbers and cross‑references.
• Save original and cross‑reference waybill numbers in the Master POD file.
• Update the RSU system daily to reflect scanned PODs.

Required profile

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and administrative abilities.
• Hardworking, proactive and self‑motivated with good planning and organisational skills.
• Possess own transport and effective telephone etiquette.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent qualification.
• 2–5 years of logistics industry experience.
