Junior Mining Engineer

About the role

The Junior Mining Engineer will support product development and customer service by creating knowledge bases, FAQs, and technical documentation. You will work closely with the support team to analyse complex customer issues, identify root causes and deliver effective resolutions. This role bridges engineering expertise with product enhancement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to analyse performance of new products and enhancements.
• Monitor industry trends and market demands to propose product improvements.
• Assist the Global Product Manager in promotional activities and product training.
• Provide technical support to customers, maintaining comprehensive documentation of all support activities.
• Evaluate complex customer problems, determine root causes and guide the support team to timely resolutions.
• Analyse customer feedback and recommend product revisions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with a Blasting Certificate.
• Bachelor's degree in mining or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in surface and underground mining blasting.
• Minimum 2 years experience using the AXXIS system.
• Additional certifications such as Surface Blasting Technology (Academy of Explosives Technology) or AXXIS Certificate are advantageous.

Required skills

• Blasting techniques and safety procedures.
• Proficiency with the AXXIS blasting management system.
• Knowledge of Surface Blasting Technology.
