Junior Logistics & Freight Coordinator

About the role

Ledvance is seeking a motivated Junior Logistics & Freight Coordinator to join its Supply Chain team in Johannesburg. The role focuses on coordinating inbound international shipments, supporting customs clearance, and maintaining accurate logistics records to ensure product availability.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound shipments from international suppliers to South Africa.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, clearing agents, and transport providers.
• Track shipments, identify delays and take proactive corrective actions.
• Support customs clearance and prepare import documentation.
• Verify shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Monitor inbound inventory levels and update stock availability.
• Maintain freight and logistics tracking reports.
• Assist with supply chain reporting, KPI tracking, and data analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and service levels.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Procurement, or a related business field.
• 1‑3 years of exposure to logistics, imports, freight forwarding, or a similar environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
