Junior IT Technician – Witbank

About the role

Our client based in Witbank is looking for a Junior IT Technician to deliver technical services at customer sites, support installations and perform routine maintenance. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in field support and exposure to a variety of client environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical services at customer sites.
• Provide basic problem‑solving and operational support on‑site.
• Conduct service contract visits, including repairs, technical inspections, recommendations and preventive maintenance.
• Support local installation and start‑up of pre‑assembled products.
• Prepare and submit site reports, job cards, travel expense reports and stock reports after each job.
• Ensure compliance with all SHEQ rules and regulations of the company and the customer.
• Perform safety inspections before starting work and report any unsafe conditions.
• Travel up to 75% of the time and work standby and night‑shift hours as required.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• A+ Certificate or equivalent, or N+ Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience.
