Junior Forklift Technician (Faure, Cape Town)

About the role
To manage, maintain and co‑ordinate assets, quality and stock at a technician level for effective achievement of quality, cost and reliability goals.
Key responsibilities
- Repair and maintenance of assets
- Daily cleaning of assets
- Functionality reports on assets
- Reporting of defects and faults
- Inspections of power tools, lifting equipment and safety equipment
- Attending to breakdowns and providing technical support
- Supporting workshop employees with specifications and information
- Reporting safety issues and breakdowns to the foreman
- Weekly timesheets, vehicle inspections and daily work‑completion feedback
Required profile
- Ability to converse in English
- Work under pressure and solve problems
- Team player who liaises directly with operators
- Matric/Grade 12
- Red Seal – Forklift Technician or Diesel Mechanic
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role (advantageous)
