Junior Finance Manager

About the role
This position is designed for a newly qualified CA(SA) with retail experience who wants to move beyond traditional reporting. You will work closely with the Group Financial Manager to shape a modern, technology‑driven finance function in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of management accounts for the group.
- Provide meaningful financial insights to support strategic decision‑making.
- Drive automation, system improvements and process optimisation across the finance team.
- Leverage technology such as PowerBI, SQL and Python to enhance reporting efficiency.
- Support a team of approximately 15 accountants and clerks, acting as second‑in‑command.
Required profile
- CA(SA) qualified or eligible to register.
- Retail industry experience or exposure to audited retail clients during articles.
- Forward‑thinking mindset with a passion for innovation and technology.
- Strong analytical abilities and a desire to modernise finance operations.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel.
- Exposure to PowerBI.
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Basic knowledge of Python (beneficial).
