Junior Digital Designer – FMCG / Retail / Food Manufacturing

About the role

Our client in Maitland, Cape Town is seeking a Junior Digital Designer to support the Marketing team. You will create high‑quality digital and print assets that strengthen the brand, engage customers and back product launches across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce artwork for digital, print, retail and internal communications.
• Create content for social media, websites, email campaigns, digital ads and e‑commerce platforms.
• Develop marketing collateral such as brochures, catalogues, flyers, POS material, presentations and banners.
• Support new product launches with packaging artwork and promotional assets.
• Edit and retouch product photography and assist with basic video editing, animations and motion graphics.
• Resize and adapt designs for various formats while ensuring brand compliance.
• Maintain an organised library of digital assets and templates.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Marketing or a related field.
• Graduate or 1–2 years of experience in a design or marketing environment; FMCG, retail or food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud – Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Basic proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects.
• Experience using Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Office.
