Junior Developer

About the role

Tax Consulting South Africa is looking for a motivated Junior Developer to join its technology team in Bryanston. You will work on building and maintaining high‑quality software solutions using the Microsoft stack, while gaining exposure to the Power Platform and cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy C#/.NET applications, including Blazor WebAssembly front‑ends and REST APIs.
• Maintain and optimise SQL Server databases and Entity Framework Core data access layers.
• Support Azure‑based services such as App Service, Azure SQL, Entra ID, Application Insights and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver new features and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Contribute to Power Automate and PowerApps solutions when required.
• Document code, processes and development standards, and follow Agile practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and collaborate in a team environment.

• Clean architecture, CQRS (MediatR), repository pattern

• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps) – optional or willingness to upskill
• Git version control
• Agile development methodologies
• Exposure to SOAP/WCF, webhooks, e‑signature integrations, Quartz.NET, NSwag/OpenAPI, React, Python (optional)
