Junior Data Engineer

About the role

JUMO is building a smart financial services platform that reaches millions of users worldwide. As a Junior Data Engineer you will help design, build and maintain scalable data architectures that feed our analytics and machine‑learning pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate batch and streaming data pipelines using Spark, Kafka and Airflow.
• Monitor pipeline performance, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Decision Scientists to translate business problems into data solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews, provide feedback and support team skill development.
• Maintain data storage solutions on AWS services such as Redshift and DynamoDB.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience designing data pipelines for large, complex datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Ability to work effectively in a Linux command‑line environment and follow CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication skills and critical thinking under pressure.
