Junior Data Engineer – GIS & ETL Focus

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join a fast‑growing portfolio of projects across insurance, agriculture and the public sector. The role is ideal for candidates with solid foundations in data engineering, ETL pipelines and geospatial/GIS environments who want to contribute to impactful, data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Work with structured, geospatial, weather, satellite and environmental datasets.
• Design and maintain clean, reusable analytical datasets.
• Support the development of internal and client‑facing data platforms and tools.
• Build dashboards, reporting solutions and visualisations for stakeholders and clients.
• Ensure data quality, reliability and workflow performance across projects.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering or GIS environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or R.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, automated data workflows and data modelling.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
• Ability to work across multiple project environments with a proactive mindset.
• Exposure to GIS / geospatial data environments is essential.
