Junior Cost Accountant – Wine Industry

About the role

Our client, a leading wine producer in Stellenbosch, is seeking a Junior Cost Accountant to calculate accurate manufacturing costs, support pricing decisions and assist the finance team with general accounting tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify stock counts for all winehouses, ensuring 100% inventory accuracy.
• Update production orders in Business Central, confirming correct stock consumption and production quantities.
• Analyse cost variances, build accurate price structures and calculate gross margins.
• Create purchase orders and record bulk wine deliveries in WineMS, matching invoices to deliveries.
• Maintain supplier pricing files and perform finished‑stock pricing analysis.
• Prepare quarterly compliance reports and support ad‑hoc finance and operations tasks.

Required profile

• Financial Accounting Diploma or BCom degree; CIMA or SAIPA registration is a plus.
• 3–5 years of cost management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or wine‑industry environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is beneficial.
