Junior Cost Accountant – Stellenbosch

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Cost Accountant to join our finance team in Stellenbosch. You will support a global wine production and distribution group by calculating accurate manufacturing costs, establishing correct selling prices and monitoring gross margins. This role offers exposure to the full wine value chain, from vineyard to customer.

Key responsibilities

• Update ERP production orders to ensure accurate stock items, costing and quantity records.
• Review stock counts across production facilities, analyse variances and report inventory discrepancies.
• Compile and maintain a Costing Masterfile to compare supplier pricing and support procurement decisions.
• Analyse finished stock pricing and COGS to ensure accurate price build‑ups, margin calculations and budget alignment.
• Create purchase orders, match invoices for bulk deliveries and process Fairtrade documentation and quarterly reporting data.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting.
• Cost accounting experience is beneficial.
• Experience with Xero or other cloud‑based accounting systems.

Required skills

• Xero (cloud‑based accounting software).
• ERP (enterprise resource planning) system usage.

What we offer

• Competitive salary of R30,000 – R40,000 CTC per month.
