Junior Copywriter and Digital Marketing Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Copywriter and Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our vibrant team in Century City. You will help shape the voice of Methys Group and its AfricArena platforms across multiple digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Create and execute content strategy for all Methys entities, including daily social media, weekly newsletters, blogs, podcasts and press releases.
• Assist social media and web channels to amplify content.
• Produce content for AfricArena’s website, startup portal and Wired mobile app, including articles and newsletters.
• Design communication materials following brand guidelines and conduct brand audits for consistency.
• Liaise with media to distribute press releases.
• Author qualitative research reports on tech innovation and investment trends in Africa.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Media Studies, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
• 1‑2 years of proven copywriting experience for digital and non‑digital media.
• Experience in a media, agency or content‑intensive startup, preferably with technology exposure.
• Excellent writing, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, stay organized and manage multiple projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency with G‑Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.).
• Experience using CRM platforms, preferably MailChimp.
• Comfort updating web and app content via CMS platforms.
