Junior C# Software Developer

About the role

DotActiv is looking for a Junior C# Software Developer to join its team building category‑management solutions for the South African retail market. You will work on a modern stack that includes ASP.NET Core Web API, Angular/AngularJS and Xamarin, delivering web and mobile applications that support sustainable shopping experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Translate storyboards and use cases into functional, high‑quality applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain reusable C# code following best practices.
• Ensure application performance, responsiveness and reliability.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs and other technical issues.
• Maintain code quality, organization and automation through CI pipelines.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of professional software development experience.
• Grade 12 with higher‑grade Mathematics (minimum 70%).
• Relevant IT certification (e.g., A+, MCSE, MCP, VCP, etc.).
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and scalable design principles.
• Familiarity with continuous integration, automated testing and unit testing.
