Junior Bookkeeper / Accounts Clerk

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Bookkeeper / Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. You will support day‑to‑day bookkeeping, ensure accurate financial records, and work with multiple accounting platforms in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and process financial transactions accurately.
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile creditor/debtor accounts.
• Process customer receipts, supplier payments and daily cash‑book entries.
• Assist with invoicing, payment allocations and month‑end bookkeeping functions.
• Process payroll information using SimplePay.
• Work with payment platforms such as Yoco and EasyPay.
• Maintain accurate records in Vetmaster and generate financial reports as required.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding account queries.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
• Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Finance is advantageous.
• 2–4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently.
