Junior Architectural Technologist – Interior Design (Cape Town)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Architectural Technologist / Interior Designer to join our Cape Town studio. The role focuses on producing high‑quality technical drawings and construction documentation for luxury hospitality and high‑end residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings and construction documentation using Revit.
• Translate design concepts into accurate, buildable solutions.
• Assist with interior design projects from design development through construction documentation.
• Collaborate with senior designers and project teams throughout the documentation process.
• Coordinate drawings with consultants and other disciplines to ensure consistency.
• Prepare detailed joinery, interior fit‑out and construction drawings.
• Maintain high technical and quality standards across all drawing packages.
• Help resolve technical design challenges while preserving design intent.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design or Architectural Technology.
• 1‑2 years of experience in an interior design, architecture or interior architecture practice.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and interior detailing.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced design team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit (essential).
• Experience with Twinmotion rendering (advantageous).
